The most awaited time of year has arrived and it is that in Mexico we have several decembrinas traditions that fill us with joy. One of these traditions is Christmas Eve, where it is customary to prepare a hearty dinner on the night of December 24 on the eve of Christmas. For the occasion, families gather to celebrate the Nativity and to thank for the blessings received during the year.
The typical dishes of the Christmas season are very varied, among the most popular are the Romeritos with mole and shrimp, the cod to Biscay, the turkey, the Christmas salad, tamales, atoles of different flavors, fruit punches and donuts.

The last inn is also organized with the same rites and songs, until it is time to “put the child to bed”. The figure of the Child God is usually carried by one or two people in a basket, tray or canvas; a procession of the assistants is formed, who sing lullabies and carols and then the Child Jesus is lying in the manger, where he remains until February 2.

Without a doubt it is a great date to meet with the family and with the people we love the most and spend a very pleasant and full of love moment. What do you do on these dates?
