Many of us think that buying a plastic Christmas tree helps to take care of our planet since we do not cut down trees, but the reality is that Christmas trees take approximately 300 years to decompose. On the other hand, buying a natural one contributes to the development of the communities where they are cultivated (generating jobs and economic income).<\/p>\n

Deforestation is a complicated issue, but there are places where they are cultivated with respect for the environment and with awareness of the cycles of a forest. That is, they sell Christmas trees, but in pots and so the life cycle of the trees is higher.<\/p>\n

In Mexico there are two places where you can buy your Christmas tree with a pot:<\/p>\n

Amecameca Nurseries<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is the Forest of the Christmas Trees by tradition, here -as an ecological measure- they sell them planted in pots. The purchase can be done by mail and they send it to you or going to the nursery.<\/p>\n

Ecoparque San Pedro<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is a center of environmental education and forest conservation also in Amecameca de Ju\u00e1rez. They have a plantation of 70 thousand Christmas trees and deliver them in a pot so that they can be planted later. One can keep it or return it to the nursery and in return they give you tickets to the ecological park for the entire family.<\/p>\n
