Although there are not in all states, these are mostly concentrated in the Bajio region, where there is a large concentration of industries of all kinds.<\/p>\n<p>The cactus is one of the ancient cacti of Mexico and is also one of the most consumed in our country. <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2642 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/ranchonatura.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/NopalesHuaraches-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ranchonatura.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/NopalesHuaraches-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ranchonatura.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/NopalesHuaraches-500x333.jpg 500w, https:\/\/ranchonatura.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/NopalesHuaraches.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>While many of us like roasts and in a taco with their roasted carnita, there are actually many more things that can be done with it, such as generating electricity.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, the first electricity generation plant with nopal biomass in Aguascalientes was opened, which had the capacity to generate up to one megawatt, which is equivalent to the lighting of around 12 thousand houses &#8230; but at a very low cost.<\/p>\n<p>After that, new companies began to appear, like Nopalimex, in Morelia, Michoac\u00e1n and Milpa Alta, located south of Mexico City. The purpose of these companies is the same, to generate electricity at a very low cost and also to come from renewable sources.<\/p>\n<p>Until 2017 it was known that in Mexico only 15 percent of its energy came from renewable sources and only .11 percent of that total corresponded to biogas.
